It was still raining heavily when we reached the secluded River Valley, a beautiful and peaceful spot in the middle of the forest. The only thing to do here is white water rafting, but that is not exactly my cup of tea, so I spent the evening relaxing, detoxing and watching the cats.
Auckland was even rainier, and the evening was spent inside and at a bar with live music. Very nice. I decided not to spend my last two days in the city, but go north to the Bay of Islands. The weather on my way up was lovely and sunny. I went on a little cruise just off the coast, we got to see lots of dolphins playing around the boat. I could watch these guys all day! These are bottle-nosed dolphins (Flipper), the largest breed, and they are much bigger than I thought!
