Next stop was Wanaka, a sleepy little town with beautiful lakes and mountain views. A few of us went to a shooting range, which was fun. In true Kiwi fashion the driver played a joke on us saying there were dolphins in the lake that liked bread with peanut butter, so some of us spent 15 minutes freezing and throwing bread into the lake (only for it to be eaten by seagulls, of course) and he got a good laugh. Lake Wanaka and surroundings The rest of the time we just drank beer, played pool and looked around. Although I might be the oldest in the bus, everybody is friendly and we enjoy each other's company now that we have been traveling together for a while. We might even meet up again in other places in New Zealand or the rest of the world! Facebook makes it easy to keep in touch.
