Waterproof bag for passport, money, cell phone (thank you Ben, Linda and Wendy!)Great if it rains and rains. A wet passport can get you into loads of trouble.Waterproof packing bagsMy lovely TidyPack comes with a rain cover, but sometimes it's just not enough. Especially if you want to protect the rest of your stuff inside the backpack from wet or smelly clothes. The waterproof packing bags are light, take up little space, and if used properly your stuff takes up less space as well (because you let the air out).Plastic seatNot too sure why I'm bringing this as it's more common to use when it's cold, but if I have to sit on the ground I guess it will keep my clothes from getting dirty. It's so light and takes up no space at all, and if I don't use it I can just chuck it.Travel sewing kitSelf-explanatory I think ... I remodeled a very simple one and added more thread, needles and measuring tape. Tip: Buy transparent thread. Goes with anything.PacSafe travel padlocksGreat for locking the main compartment of the backpack during flights. I also fastened one of these to the PC cable because they are a little lighter than the one that originally came with it (plus that one had a key). They are combination locks, so I don't risk losing any keys.Giant carabine hook with combination lockGreat for fastening stuff to ... stuff. I'm sure I'll find a use for it.Emergency cash stashI've put some euro notes around in various places just in case. Hope I remember where ...Neoprene bottle cooler with carabine hookAustralians use these bottle coolers a lot. If nothing else, I can fasten a bottle of water to the outside of the backpack it if's full.
