A contraceptive implant is a tiny hormone emitting stick inserted under your skin by your doctor. It contains more or less the same hormone as the mini-pill, so if you want to see if it could work for you, you should try a couple of months on those first. The implant cost me about the same as a year's consumption of regular contraception pills, but it lasts for 5 years. Money well spent!
