Travel towel
A microfiber travel towel is a must these days. Of course, a regular towel is comfy, but takes up a lot of space and does not dry as quickly. Just fasten it to the outside of your backpack after use, and it's completely dry in a few hours or less. I'm bringing a big one and a small one (thank you Birgitte!). |

 The things taking up the most weight and space in my luggage are usually the toiletries. A girl needs shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, facial creme, body lotion, make up, make up remover, SPF, after sun lotion and so on just to get started. How can I reduce this to a minimum? |

 Travel first aid kitFill it up with the regular stuff to keep it all in one place. Painkillers (but keep original packaging so you don't end up like these guys at the end of this blog entry), something against travel sickness and traveller's diahorrea, bandages and so on. I'm also bringing plastic gloves, penicillin, malarials, special pills for keeping your stomach happy, something for rinsing wounds and a few other items. |
