Everybody keeps telling you not to bring too much stuff, especially when backpacking for such a long time. There are a few websites dedicated to the art of packing light. Onebag.com gives you some helpful advice regarding items with multiple functions and priorities when packing. It also links to a rather extreme site, but notice that these sites are made by men! Girls need more stuff, especially clothes. We cannot bear the thought of wearing the same outfit day in and day out. The horror! But still, as I grow older it's getting easier to plan and bring less clothes.

Finally my travel site is online! I have postponed it for months because I've been so busy, but now I have spent a few evenings and here we are. I know it's over quickly when I first get started, but you know the excuses ...

I have (unwisely) chosen the warmest week ever in Oslo to sit in front of the computer and tap away. Still I am not happy about the forecasted rain next week, becaue that is when I start my 2 week holiday in Norway before I go for a little quality time with my new house and the family. I leave for India, my first stop, in less than 7 weeks time and I'm actually starting to get a little nervous. I have the required visas, money saved up, almost everything I'm bringing, I've sublet my room and started moving my stuff, everything is pretty much under control, but I guess it is only normal to be a little worried.
